Shanker Ramakrishnan is an Indian Screenwriter, Actor, Director, and producer who predominantly works in Malayalam Film Industry. After completing his post graduation from the School of Management Studies, CUSAT, He immediately started his career. Shanker debuted as a Scriptwriter and a director through the movie “Kerala Cafe“. He scripted and directed a part of the Kerala Cafe movie Island Express which was a Critically acclaimed segment. Shanker Ramakrishnan Details

Shanker Ramakrishnan was born on 13 April 1966 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. He completed his graduation in the field of Renewable Energy and Energy Management at TERI University, New Delhi, India. Initially, Shanker directed a segment of the movie “Kerala Cafe“. He was the director and screenwriter for the segment “Island Express” which was critically acclaimed. Pritiviraj invited Shanker to write for August Cinema’s maiden movie “Urumi“.

Urumi was a historical film with Prithviraj and Genelia in Lead Roles. The movie gave Shanker a wider space and a lot of opportunities. Apart from Directing and Screen Writing, Shanker also made his debut as an actor in the movie “Spirit” for which he was nominated for Best Debutant Male at the SIIMA awards. He also made his debut as a Television host in the program “Rahasya Sancharangal” telecasted in Asianet TV. He announced his directional debut through the movie “Pathinettam Padi“.
