Nag Ashwin Details

Nag Ashwin was born and brought up in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. He did his schoolings in Hyderabad Public School and completed his graduation in Mass Communication and Journalism. He is married to film producer Priyanka Dutt, a daughter of producer C. Ashwini Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies. Nag Ashwin began his film industry career as an assistant director for the film Nenu Meeku Telusa?.

He then worked as an assistant director with Sekhar Kammula for the films like Leader (2010) and Life Is Beautiful (2012). He made his directional debut in the film Yevade Subramanyam which became a Super Hit at the box office and trumped many movies which released around the same time. His next film will be a Telugu-Tamil bilingual film Mahanati, a biopic on the life of late legendary southern actress Savitri.
