Prateik Babbar is an Indian actor, who is working in the Bollywood film industry. Prateik Babbar made his debut in the television advertisement for various products like Nestle KitKat, by the recommendation of filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar. Moreover, he made his debut movie Bollywood movie is Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, which has received such a great honour as a Filmfare Awar and a Stardust Award. He has acted in the movies like Umrika, Mulq, Baaghi 2, and Darbar.

Prateik Babbar Early Life & Career

Prateik Babbar was born on 28 November 1986 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Prateik Babbar family his father is Raj Babbar and his mother is Smita Patil who is the late Indian actress. He did his schooling in Arya Vidhya Mandir, Mumbai, India and he did his graduation in Jai hind college and St. Andrews college of arts, science and Mumbai.  Initially, he started his career as a production assistant before he starts his acting career. At the beginning with the recommendation of the filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar, he appeared in the television advertisement like Nestle KitKat and more. Then he made his debut Bollywood movie name Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na which is produced by Aamir Khan he appeared along with Imran Khan and Genelia D’Souza. In this movie, he appeared as an annoying, attention-seeking brother of Genelia’s character which has won the critical appreciation with numerous awards. In the 54th Filmfare Award, Prateik Babbar has received a Special Jury certificate, as well as nominations for Best Male Debut and Best Supporting Actor.

Later the success of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na he features in many films, where he earned little more recognition. Then he appeared films named Kiran Rao’s Dhobi Ghaat, Dum Maro Dum in this movie he appeared with Abhishek Bachchan and Rana Daggubati, and in movie Aarakshan he appeared with Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone. Later in the year 2011, he appeared in the movieKalki Koechlin in My Friend Pinto. He made his debut Bengali a film named Auroni Taukhon along with Paoli Dam. Then following the battle of substance abuse in the year 2013, he went through the rehab in Mumbai and attended extensive counselling. Once after he regains from the sobriety. After his course, he joined in the school of method acting at the Jeff Goldberg Studio in 2016.  Now he gets back to the movie Baaghi 2 along with Tiger Shroff in the lead role.
