Vishal’s Makkal Nala Iyakkam Party: Actor Vishal has launched his political party name Makkal Nala Iyakkam and also unveiled the party flag. The announcement was made on the occasion of Vishal’s 41st birthday and his recent movie Irumbu Thirai‘s 100th-day celebration function. The actor has turned his fans club into a Welfare Association. He said that the organization is to serve people more than being a political party.

In the party flag, Vishal’s image is embossed and the words “Ani Servom” (Lets come together) and “Anbai Vithaipom” (Lets sow the seeds of Love). There is also the photos of Abdul Kalam one side and Mother Teresa on the other side with the captains ‘Vivegam’ (Prudence), ‘Vithiyasam’ (Different) and ‘Vida Muyarchi’ (Determination).

Apart from performing as an actor, Vishal is also serving as the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam and the President of the Tamil Film Producers Council.

Political analysts said that Vishal does have ambitions in politics and follows the actors who had turned politicians in Tamil cinema such as MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, K. Bhagyaraj, Vijayakanth, Sarathkumar, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth. It must be noted actor Vishal’s petition to contest in the RK Nagar By-Election held last year was rejected.
