Garima Singh is an Indian Administrative Officer of 2016 batch of Jharkhand Cadre. She also worked as an IPS officer in Uttar Pradesh. Garima Singh is well-known for being a strong and honest officer. She has continued to remain an inspiring person for Indian youths.

Garima Singh IAS Early Life and Career

Garima Singh was born on 14 February 1987 in Balia District, Uttar Pradesh, India. Garima Singh family is now residing in New Delhi, India. Her father name is Onkar Nath Singh and her mother name will be updated soon. She finished her graduation in masters of arts in history from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. Garima Singh husband name is Raul Rai, an engineer who studied at IIT Kharagpur.

In the year 2012, she was qualified in the civil services examination in her first attempt and also worked as an IPS officer till 2015. At that time, she worked in Lucknow for 2 years as a trainee ASP and she was posted as an SP to Jhansi. Before she gets appointed as an SP, she made waves into her prescribed share of work at Lucknow. Then she played the main role in setting up the women’s helpline number 1090. She started to prepare for the UPSC examinations in her spare time. Garima Singh attained 55th rank in 2015 civil services examinations and get qualified as an IAS officer and she got her first posting in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand as an Assistant Collector. Apart from serving the city, she has adopted an Anganbadi, which is located in Hazaribagh district. Within the duration of two months, she converted it as a model play school. She also worked as the District social welfare officer. She is now working as a Sub-Divisional Officer of Ranchi.
