Thangalaan is the upcoming Chiyaan Vikram movie directed by Pa. Ranjith. The film also features Pasupathy, Malavika Mohanan, and Parvathy Thiruvothu in crucial roles. Dhanajayan G and K E Gnanavelraja bankrolled this film under the Studio Green and Neelam Productions banner. It is a big-budget action film shot in both 2D and 3D. The film is based on true events that narrate the story of the Kolar gold mines during India’s pre-independence era. GV Prakash composes the music and background scores for the film.

The first glimpse of the film shows a rugged Vikram in a tribal getup, and the look resembles the makeover of Kamal Haasan in Marudhnayagam. Kishor Kumar shot the whole film. Musical rights are acquired by Junglee Music.

The teaser for the Thangalaan movie was released on November 1, 2023, at 11:30 AM. The glimpses of the teaser show tribal leaders fighting the British who were planning to take away their land to mine gold.

Release Date

This pre-historic thriller drama is slated to release in theaters on 26 January 2023 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
