Kinjal Singh is an Indian Administrative officer of 2008 batch, who is currently working in the Uttar Pradesh cadre. She is a dynamic officer of Uttar Pradesh district and she was fondly called as “Firebrand IAS“. Most of the people call her an IAS with a purpose. The main reason to become an IAS officer is to get justice for her family.

Kinjal Singh Early Life and Career

Kinjal Singh was born on 5 January 1982 in Gorakhpur, Haryana, India. Her family is now residing in Uttar Pradesh, India. Her father name is Late K.P Singh, a former DSP and her mother name is Late Vibha Singh, worked in Varanasi treasury. She has a sister named Pranjal Singh, an IRS officer. Her schooling details will be updated soon. She finished her graduation in Philosophy at Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. She was not only the topper of Delhi University but also awarded as the Indian Philosophical Congress Gold Medal. Then she completed her LLB from Campus Law Centre. 

Kinjal Singh has become as an IAS officer in the year 2008, by clearing the UPSC in the 25th rank. Her first posting was in Unnao, Lucknow and Barabanki as SDM. Then in her career, she worked in various places like CDO in Barabanki and DM of Bahraich, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri. Now she is working as a DM of Faizabad and also worked in the Agriculture Department. When she was six months old, her father KP Sing was murdered in a fake encounter. To get justice for her father’s murder, she became an IAS officer and got justice for her family. Kinjal Singh says that her mother was being her motivation and inspiration, to be a strong and Independent woman.
