Sembaruthi serial starring Karthik, Shabana, and Priya Raman is currently the number 1 serial on Zee Tamil. The serial Sembaruthi is aired everyday at 21:00 (IST) 9.00 PM starting 16 October 2017. In Sembaruthi Serial Today Episode (22.2.19), Vanaja (Lakshmi) and Mithra (Bharatha Naidu) tortured Parvathy to wear uniform saree. In that time, Akilandeswari enters home and investigated about the problem. Akilandeswari looked Parvathy and said her to wear nornal saree hereafter. Later, a Guruji visited the home and Akilandeswari ordered parvathy to do paatha pooja to him. He blessed Parvathy with the words “Dheerga Sumangali Bhava”. The word is only used for the person who gets married. Uma heard this and informed it to Vanaja and Mithra. At last, Vanaja and Mithra was thinking that something is going on between Parvathy and Adhi.

Shabana is playing the role Parvati and this serial makes her debut in Tamil. Office serial Fame Karthik landed is playing a lead role Adhitya in the Sembaruthi Show. Tamil Film actress and film producer Priya Raman was selected as one of the leads as Akhilandeshwari.

Vj Kathir of Dance Jodi Dance was selected for a supporting role named as Arun. Narasimha Raju, and Dhandayuthapani was selected for a supporting role. Mapilai Fame Janani Ashok Kumar was selected to play Aishwarya, an important character in the Sembaruthi story.
