He started his career from his childhood by improving his performance he appeared for Delhi team. He did his first debut in the year 2015 for the 2015–16 Ranji Trophy. Later in the finals of 2017-18 Ranji Trophy, Dhruv Shorey scored a century in the first innings, he batted for Delhi against Vidarbha. In the year 2018 January, he was bought by Chennai Super Kings for the 2018 IPL auction.
