Vijay In Politics: Thalapathy Takes Break From Cinema

According to News18, Thalapathy Vijay is set to take a 3-year hiatus from his cinematic career in order to concentrate on the upcoming 2026 election. It has also been reported that Thalapathy 68, directed by Venkat Prabhu, will be his final film.

Thalapathy Vijay is currently shooting for his high-budget and anticipated film LEO directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Recently, the actor met the toppers of Class 10 and 12 board examinations. The event was held at RK Convention Centre in Chennai. There is also a buzz that Vijay Makkal Iyakkam will be contesting in the 2026 election, and it will be headed by the actor himself.

VP’s Thalapathy 68 shooting get starts in October 2023, and the release is planned for Diwali 2024.
