Savukku Shankar Biopic: Dhanush Plays His Character Under Vetri Maaran’s Direction

All of a sudden political commentator Savukku Shankar‘s name is surfacing in the entertainment pages after the news of Director Vetrimaran and himself teaming up for a biopic.

Woohoo! This is going to be a big shot, Savukku Shankar is known for his political statements and also he is a journalist who has a strong point of view on almost every social suvissue. In a recent interview with a private channel, Savukku Shankar confirmed that his biopic will be directed by Vetrimaran. And also, he wants Dhanush to portray his character on screen. On the other hand, director Vetrimaran is busy with his commitments, his last release Viduthalai Part 1 received mixed reviews but was a huge hit film. Viduthalai 2 is currently shooting in hill areas of Kodaikanal and will be released in the first half of 2024. Meanwhile, it seems like Dhanush might play the character of Savukku Shankar as it is directed by Vetrimaran. Dhanush’s next film would be Ranjhana’s sequel, Captain Miller and Sekhar Kammula’s directorial.
