Shiraz Minwalla is an Indian theoretical Physicist and string theorist. He is the faculty member in the Department of the Theoretical Physics at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai. Before his current position, he was a Harvard Junior Fellow and subsequently an Assistant Professor at the Harvard University. Minwalla was awarded the Swarnajayanti Fellowship 2005-06 by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Shiraz Minwalla Profile And Career

Shiraz Minwalla was born in 1973, in a Parsi-Zoroastrian family. He has completed his graduation from Campion School, Mumbai in 1988 and the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 1995. Then Minwalla moved to Princeton University to earn his PhD under the guidance of Nathan Seiberg. Then he was awarded the Infosys Prize 2013 in the field of Physical Sciences by the Infosys Science Foundation. He also received the award in 2014 New Horizons in Physics Prize by the Fundamental Physics Prize.
