Urmila Mahanta Details

Urmila Mahanta was born at Sonapur, Assam. Her father’s name is Giridhar Mahanta and her mother’s name is Ramala Mahanta. She did her schoolings ar Sonapur and then moved Kamrup where she completed her graduation at Dimoria College in Khetri. Before entering into the big screens, She acted in many plays and short films. She made her debut as an actress through a Tamil movie called “Vazhakku Enn 18/9” directed by Balaji Sakthivel.

Urmila then made her Bollywood debut through the movie “Ballad of Rustom“. In the year 2014, She made her Assamese and Bengali debut. Her 1st movie was critically acclaimed and her acting skills were much appreciated. She won the Youth of the year 2016 award, Young achievers 2017 award and Youth Icon 2017 award.
