Sargun Mehta was born on 6 September 1988, in Chandigarh, India. Sargun Mehta family is now residing in Chandigarh, India her father name is Harish Mehta and her mother name is Aradhana Mehta. Then she has a younger brother. She did her schooling in Sacred Heart Convent school and Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh, India and she did her graduation in Kirori Mal College, Delhi University. In the beginning, she attended the audition along with her brother for a dance reality show Boogie Woogie, but both were rejected.

Then in the year 2015, she featured in the Angrej movie and for this movie, she grabbed the PTC Punjabi Film Awards for Best Actress. Sargun Mehta gets dated with Ravi Dubey when she working along in the TV Show 12/24 Karol Bagh. Then they got married in December 2013. Once after he married, she changed her name to Sargun Mehta Dubey.
