80s Buildup is an upcoming Tamil family drama directed by S. Kalyaan of Jackpot fame. Poove Unakage TV serial fame Radhika Preethi and Santhanam are the protagonists, with K S Ravikumar, Munishkanth Ramdoss, Reddin Kingsley, Mansoor Ali Khan, and others playing the supporting roles. K E Gnanavelraja produced the movie under the Studio Green Films production house. Ghibran of Thunivu fame composed the songs and background music, while Muthamizh and Palanesamy penned the lyrics.

The new trailer was released on 19 November 2023. Based on the video, the film is set in the backdrop of the 80s, and the protagonist is a big fan of Ulaganagayan Kamal Haasan. Due to some unfortunate reasons, his grandfather died and became a ghost.

Storyline

The story revolves around a young man who is a die-hard Kamal fan. Unfortunately, his grandfather died and left huge litigation in his will. The protagonist’s grandfather returned as a ghost and joined hands with modern-day Yama Dharmaraja and Chitragupta to help his grandson. But the grandson falls in love with a girl and doesn’t notice people stealing his family heirloom. What happens to him is the main crux.
