Yaathisai is an upcoming historical drama directed by Dharani Rasendran of Gnanaserukku fame. The film stars Shakthi Mithran in the lead role, with Seyon, Rajalakshmi, Guru Somasundram, Chandrakumar, and Semmalar Annam in supporting characters. KJ Ganesh financed the film under the banners of Venus Infotainment and Sakthi Film Factory. Chakravarthy composed the songs, and the audio label rights are bagged by Saregama India Limited and A RPSG Group Company. The film hit the screens on 21 April 2023.

Yaathisai was made on a small budget with standard quality. It is another period drama that tells the story of Pandyas and Cholas after Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan. This film’s trailer received millions of views on YouTube in less than 15 hours. The trailer was launched by Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, Gautham Vasudev Menon, PA Rajith, and PC Sreeram.
