Coronavirus Update: 527 New Cases in Tamil Nadu

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 527 new COVID-19 positive cases reported in Tamil Nadu bringing the total count to 3550. The stare records its largest single-day with 527 fresh cases. In India, 2573 new cases are registered with the death toll in the last 24 hours.

As of May 04, the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu are given below

• Total number of Male tested positive today – 377
• Total number of Female tested positive today – 150
• Total number of Transgender tested positive today – 0
• Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 2392/1157/1
• Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 50 (36 government & 14 private)
• Total number of samples tested till date – 1,62,970
• Total number of samples tested today – 12,773
• Total number of persons tested till date – 1,53,489
• Total number of persons tested today – 12,773
• Total number of suspected individuals in isolation ward admission – 2662
• Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date – 1409
• Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 30
• Total number of active cases on date – 2107
