Padavettu is a Malayalam movie written and directed by Liju Krishna. Vikram Mehra and Siddharth Anand Kumar along with Sunny Wayne produced this film under the banners of Saregama India Limited and A RPSG Group Company. Govind Vasantha composed the soundtrack while Anwar Ali wrote the lyrics. Nivin Pauly did the protagonist. The film is set to release in cinemas on 21st October 2022.

Deepak D Menon worked as the Director of Photography while Shafique Mohamed Ali did the editing. Along with protagonist Nivin Pauly, Aditi Balan, Shammi Thilkan, Shine Tom Chacko, Indrans, and others played a crucial role in the film.

Storyline

The film revolves around the village and its people. A corrupt politician and his party destroyed forest areas and stole water sources for a corporate company for years. Every time people in the village try to stop the wrongdoing of the politician they were overpowered by his power. A young man protagonist (Nivin Pauly) from the village fight against the politician in his own way. What will happen to him and will the village and its people get a happy ending is the main plot of the film. The movie tells the social message of how a corrupt politician destroys his own country and its natural resources for his own gain.
