Maruti Suzuki’s New Swift and Dzire Recalled In India Over Faulty Airbag Controller
On Wednesday, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has said that they will recall 1279 units of the new Swift and Dzire to check for a potential fault in airbag controller unit. In a statement, the company has stated that nearly 1279 vehicles (566 new Swift and 713 new Dzire) which are manufactured between May 7 – July 5, 2018, will be covered in this campaign. The owners who are affected by the campaign will be contacted by the company’s dealers from July 25. The inspection and replacement of the faulty units will be done free of cost. Further, the company also stated that “the campaigns for recall will be undertaken to rectify the units for the potential safety defects.” The customers can also visit the company website to ascertain if their vehicle is among the affected units.
