Lords of the Deccan is an upcoming Telugu series adapted from Anirudh Kanisetti’s book with the same title. This is another film from actor Rana Daggubati‘s Spirit Media Company and also a collaboration with SonyLIV. This historical action thriller will take viewers back in time to witness the birth of the Chalukya Dynasty. The makers will soon announce the cast and crew details of this film.

Plot and Genre

The story revolves around the Chalukya Dynasty. We can witness the greatness of the Chalukyas through this movie.

The Chalukya dynasty was a powerful and influential that ruled over parts of South India between the 6th and 12th centuries AD. This dynasty was known for its significant contributions to Indian art, architecture, literature, religion, and culture. The Chalukyas had three different branches, namely, the Badami Chalukyas, the Kalyani Chalukyas, and the Western Chalukyas. They were known for their patronage of arts and architecture. The Chalukyas were also known for their military prowess, and their empire extended to parts of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. The great king Pulakeshin II is known for his defeat of the Badsahis of North India, and his kingdom also had extensive trade links with countries like Persia and China.
