According to the statement released by makers,

Karoline Kamakshi web series revolves around two undercover agents – an Indian and a French. “Meena plays the role of Kamakshi, a Tamil Brahmin, who inherits the CBI job after her father’s demise. She is least interested in a taxing job like this, but survives through the work with her witty nature and intelligence. Karoline is a French undercover agent, who comes to Pondicherry on a vacation, but is forced to take up an assignment by her boss. These two contrasting personalities come together to trace down a scandalous gangster in order to retrieve a world-famous artifact, which carries international importance,”
