ICC Women’s World Cup 2017: Records | Squads | Fixtures
ICC Women’s World Cup 2017, the tournament scheduled on June 24 as a starting date, and July 23 will be the finals of 2017. This is the eleventh edition of the ICC Women World Cup to be held in England this month.
In 1973, the women’s World Cup started. Only after that, the men’s world cup championship started. Already, England has entertained two tournaments, in 1973 and 1993. Lords, Bristol, Derby, Leicester, and Taunton, are the current venues. For the first time, the Umpire Decision Review System (UDRS) is used in a women’s tournament.

The ICC has ruled that the top eight ranked teams will compete in the tournament. Automatically, the top four in the ODI rankings will be qualified, while the other four teams have been selected by a qualification tournament that held in Sri Lanka.

The participating teams are England (hosting team), Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies.
The format of the tournament is like round robin that all the teams will face each other and the top four teams will meet the semifinals.
