After the victory of the 2021 State Legislative Elections and winning the majority of 133 constituencies, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party took over the Tamil Nadu government against All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). The results were declared by the Election Commission of India on May 02, 2021. The new government and swearing-in ceremony held on Friday, May 07 the DMK leader Muthuvel Karunanidhi Stalin sworn as the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu along with the council of ministers and senior leaders.
The new cabinet and council of the minister have a good combination of both veterans and youngsters. The 70year old K. Ponmudi sworn as the new Minister for Higher Education in Tamil Nadu and Minister of School Education will be lead by Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi.
The young generations are eager for the new government led by DMK and looking forward to the new reforms in the field of education to compete against the rest of India to strengthen the basics and good foundation for academics and higher educations.
