As the coronavirus cases in India increases day by day, a first of its kind disinfection tunnel has been set up at the Thennampalayam market in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu. Tirupur District Corona Prevention Team have installed the disinfection tunnel in front of the market, people should wash their hands and then walk through the tunnel before entering into the market. The idea has also been hugely applauded and it surely helps to the migrant workers across the district.

On April 1, Tirupur Collector Vijayakarthikeyan has shared the video onn his twitter account,
The video shows people entering the disinfection tunnel and authorities guiding them to stand in a queue to wash their hands. They walk through the disinfection tunnel for about 3-5 seconds with hands held up in the air will surely cleans the body killing every virus.
As of now, Tamil Nadu has confirmed 124 positive cases of Coronavirus, including four cured/discharged patients and one death. The total number of COVID-19 cases in India have crossed 1,600 as per the report revealed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
