Srivani was born and brought up in Nandumpudi, Andhra Pradesh, India. Srivani started playing the Saraswati Veena at the age of 7. She got introduced to veena by her parents and her first guru was Smt. Pichika Seeta Maha Lakshmi. She also worked as an anchor in various Telugu TV channels and won many awards like Best Anchor award. She decided to make veena more people-friendly by taking it from traditional Carnatic to other variations. She covers the audience by playing trend and passion musics through veena. This style was followed by most of the upcoming veena artist to attract the next generation audience.
