SV Ramanan is the son of legendary filmmaker K Subrahmanyam. Ramanan started his career as a theatre artist and appeared in several plays. He is a documentary filmmaker and directed several Doordarshan serials. His film Uruvangal Maralam starring Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth was a huge success. His documentaries are mostly about spiritualism, arts to architecture, and nationalism. He passed away on September 26, 2022.
