Veera Muthuvel is an ISRO scientist from Tamil Nadu. He completed his graduation from IIT Madras. He became famous for finding the Chandrayaan 2 debris on the moon using his telescope. In 2023, he became the mastermind behind the Chandrayaan 3 launch. He was appointed as the Project Director of the Chandrayaan 3, after working on multiple projects at ISRO. On 23 August 2023, Chandrayaan 3 safely landed on the moon which made India the first country in the world to reach the South Pole on the moon. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin reached Veeramuthuvel by phone and wished for his success.

He was born in Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu and he is the son of Palanivel. His father worked as a technician at Southern Railway. He finished his diploma in mechanical engineering from a private polytechnic college. He then joined a college in Tambaram to complete his engineering, and later he joined IIT Chennai for higher studies. Due to his interest in space, Veera did important research in the aerospace field.
