Valarmathi is an ISRO scientist, who was a part of the Range Operations Programme at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre. She lent her voice to countdown for several rocket launches at ISRO. Unfortunately, she passed away on September 3, 2023, (Sunday), due to cardiac arrest. Former ISRO director Dr PV Venkitakrishnan shared his condolence on X (Twitter), with the news that Chandrayaan 3 was Valarmathi’s final countdown announcement.
