Senthil Balaji is an Indian politician and industrialist from Tamil Nadu. He currently serves as a minister of Electricity, prohibition, and exercise. He was the ‘Minister for Transport ‘ from the Karur constituency in the year 2011, and he was elected as an MLA from the Aravakurichy constituency in 2016. V Senthil Balaji (VSB) is from Rameswarapatti, Karur district, Tamil Nadu.

Arrest

Senthil Balaji came to the limelight after the Enforcement Directorate arrested him for a money laundering case. The ED officials raided all premises linked with Senthil Balaji and questioned him for long hours over the allegations when he was working as a transport minister from 2011-2015. But then he was a member of the AIADMK party, but now he is in the DMK party. As a result of the previous allegations, the Supreme Court allowed a police and ED investigation. The allegation was that he collected money from people by promising government jobs, in simple terms, a cash-for-jobs scam.

Senthil was arrested on 14th June 2023. When he was arrested by ED, he suffered from chest pain and was rushed to Omandur Tamil Nadu Govern meant multi-specialty hospital.
