Remya Nambeesan is an Indian Film Actress who predominantly appears in Malayalam and Tamil Films. She has acted over 50 films so far and has sung more than 20 songs. Remya Nambeesan made her acting debut in the year 2000 as a child artist in the Malayalam movie Sayahnam. She continued to play child roles until she made a starring role in the movie Aanachandam in 2006. She made her Kollywood debut in the movie Oru Naal Oru Kanavu. She made her debut as a playback singer with the song “Aande Londe” for the film Ivan Megharoopan (2012). Her song “Muthuchippi Poloru” for Thattathin Marayathu (2012) became one of the most popular songs of the year 2012. Remya Nambeesan Wiki

Remya Nambeesan was born on 24 March 1986 for Subrahmaniam Unni and Jayasree at Kochi, Kerala. She graduated from Mahatma Gandhi Public School, Ambadimala near Chottanikkara and pursued a bachelor’s degree in Communicative English from St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam. Her father is a former theatre artiste, who was a member of famous troupes such as “Jubilee” and “Harishree”. Her brother, Rahul, is a music director in the Malayalam movie Philips and the Monkey Pen and also a playback singer in the film Thattathin Marayathu. Before entering the film industry she has been a host of a  phone-in music show Hello, Good Evening on the Malayalam channel Kairali TV. She has learned Carnatic Music from childhood and has sung several devotional albums on Chottanikarai Bhagavathi. Since then she has sung several songs in movies like Bachelor Party, Up & Down: Mukalil Oralundu and Arikil Oraal, Thattathin Marayathu, Amen and several other songs in other south Indian movies too. She was one of the nominees of Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer – Malayalam for her song “Andilonde” from Ivan Megharoopan.

Remya Nambeesan then appeared in many Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu movies. In the thriller film Chaappa Kurishu, she appeared as Sonia and acted in a long kissing scene with her co-star Fahad Fazil which attracted many critical views in Malayalam Cinema Industry and supposed to be the first every controversial Malayalam movie as it shook the industry. She stated that she did not regret acting the scene instead she enjoyed doing it. She also added that actress should take risks if the plat demands so. After that, her acting career grew drastically and she has been appearing subsequently in films. Currently, she has been a part of Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma in Tamil Tamil, Kurukshetra in Kannada which is scheduled for 9th match 2018 followed by Mercury Tamil silent thriller, Seethakaathi, a fantasy comedy in Tamil,  Aalathoorile Ethiri Vettam Monkey Pen 2 Sameera Roy in Malayalam.
