She acted in TV serials like Vamsam, Andal Azhagar, Pagal Nilavu, Bala Ganapathi, and Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar. Rekha also worked as an anchor on Puthuyugam TV and Colors TV. She is the close friend of the popular TV anchor, V J Chitra who died in 2020. Rekha has worked as a News Presenter on Sun TV. She became an internet sensation after a video of her and Bayilvan Ranganathan fighting on the beach went viral. As per the sources, the reason for the fight is that Bailwan Ranganathan criticized Rekha by comparing her to the late Chitra.
