Kiran Rao is an Indian film producer, director as well as she is a screenwriter. Moreover, she is the second wife of Aamir Khan, with that, she is the cousin of actress Aditi Rao Hydari. She made her debut is Lagaan Once Upon A Time in India, which is one of the famous Bollywood movies in this movie she worked as an Assistant Director. Kiran Rao Early Life and Career

Kiran Rao was born on 7 November 1973 in Gadwal, Telangana, India. Kiran Rao family details will be updated soon. Her grandfather was J. Rameshwar Rao, Raja of Wanaparthy, which is a place in Telangana State. She was taken from the orphanage and she attended Loreto House. Then in the year 1992, her parents planned to leave Kolkata so she moved to Mumbai. There she did her graduation in food science major at Sophia College for Women in 1995. Moreover, she joined and attended Social Communications Media course at the Sophia Polytechnic, which is a two months course. Later, she did her masters in AJK Mass Communication Research Center at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She started her career as an Assistant Director for the epic movie Lagaan, which is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, with that, she also assisted later in the movie Swades: We, the People. The movie Lagaan was nominated for the 74th Academy Awards in the category foreign language, with that, it is the first production of Amir Khan. Apart from the direction she also appeared in many minute roles as a supporting actress in Dil Chahta Hai. Moreover, she was scripted and directed a film titled Dhobi Ghat, and it is produced by Aamir Khan Productions in the year 2011. She is the chairperson of Mumbai Film Festival – MAMI in 2015. She has also sung a Marathi song Toofan Aala Satyamev Jayate Water Cup Anthem.
