Jiya Shankar is an Indian actress and model who mostly works in the Bollywood film industry. She is better known for playing the role of Dr. Ira in the Meri Hanikarak Biwi series. She also worked in several other TV shows such as Love By Chance, MTV Big F, Laal Ishq, and more. In 2023, Jiya participated in Bigg Boss OTT season 2 and became popular for pulling a prank on her co-contestant Elvish Yadav.

In the Bigg Boss house, Jiya Shankar pulled weird pranks on almost all her inmates. But her actions angered everyone when she mixed the hand wash on Elvish’s glass of water as a prank. This action got her heavily criticized by everyone including the audience who harshly replied about how dangerous her action is.
