Gowri is the daughter of south Indian actress Praveena Nair. Gowri Nair was in the news after she filed a complaint against Delhi-based youth who shared her morphed photos on the internet. Her mother, Praveena Nair is also a victim, both lodged a complaint with the cyber police. Praveen is well known for her role as Sivagami Sundaram in Raja Rani 2 serial that airs on Star Vijay TV. She played supporting roles in Saamy 2, Comali, Bheeshma, and Teddy received critical acclaim.
According to sources, police registered a case on a student named Bhagyaraj last year for morphing Praveena’s face with inappropriate pictures. After a while, he was released on bail. Police suspect that the same student might be involved in creating and sharing Gowri Nair’s illicit photos.
