Chennamaneni Ramesh is an Indian politician. Chennamaneni is a part of Telangana Rashtra Samithi party. He has served as the MLA of Vemulawada constituency for two times. He is the son of veteran politician and freedom fighter late Chennamaneni Rajeshwara Rao who is a follower of Telugu Desam Party. Ramesh’s uncle C. Vidyasagar Rao is a former governor of Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. Furthermore, Vidyasagar is a strong supporter of Bharatiya Janata Party.

Ramesh is a former member of Telugu Desam Party.
Controversy: In 2013, Andhra high court ordered to disqualify him as an MLA. But he blocked that order by appealing in the supreme court. Later in 2019, The Union Home Ministry revoked the Indian citizenship of Chennamaneni Ramesh for having German citizenship when he got his Indian citizenship back in 2009. Also, he failed to stay in India continuously for 12 months after submitting the application which is also a rule to be followed for obtaining the citizenship of India.
