Edappadi Palanisamy Laid Foundation Stone for Jayalalithaa Memorial
Cheif Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi Palanisamy and Deputy Cheif Minister of Tamil Nadu, O. Panneerselvam laid the foundation stone for the “memorial mandapam” at the Marina beachfront for former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa, who died on December 5, 2016. Mr. Edappadi Palanisamy laid the first brick for the construction of Jayalalithaa Memorial, and Mr. Panneerselvam marked the formal inauguration of work for Jayalalithaa Memorial at the beach complex.
Speical prayers and Yagna have conducted ahead of the stone-laying event in which Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker, Thambidurai, TN Ministers, MPs, and MLAs were participated along with the Cheif Minister and his deputy. The Memorial mandapam for late Cheif Minister is set to come up behind the memorial of AIADMK founder and former Cheif Minister of Tamil Nadu, MG Ramachandran.
According to reports, “Jayalalithaa Memorial will be built within a year, and it will be built in the shape of Phoenix. The estimated cost for this project is around 51 crores.”
