Zafaryab Jilani is an Indian lawyer who belongs to Sunni Waqf Board Council. As per the sources, he passed away on 17th May 2023 due to health issues. He came into the limelight for his presence in the supreme court to dispute Muslims on the Ayodhya land verdict on November 08, 2019. He was the secretary of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), which has been functioning since 1972. Furthermore, he is the additional advocate general of the UP government. In May 2021, he was admitted to Medanta Hospital due to a brain haemorrhage. Also, he tested positive for COVID-19 and underwent treatment.
