Renowned Singer Vani Jayaram Passed Away

Veteran singer and Padma Bhushan recipient Vani Jayaram aka Vani Jairam has passed away at her home, Nungambakkam Chennai. She was 78. Based on some reliable reports, she had an injury on her forehead. Vani Jayaram has spanned over five decades in the music industry. She has given her beautiful vocals to more than 10,000 songs in 19 languages. In addition, Vaani recorded numerous devotional songs and private albums. Vani Jairam claimed several national awards, honours, Filmfare, and other awards.

Her demise has become a major loss in the cine industry. A pall of gloom descended on the film industry soon after her demise. Condolences poured in from the industry on the untimely demise of the renowned singer.
