Kalyanaraman is an Indian politician who serves as National Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Mazdoor Mahasangh (BJMM) and BJP State working committee member. He participated in some political debate based television shows. He was arrested once after multiple complaints raised against him from some Muslim groups and the local Jamaat.

CONTROVERSY

• EIA draft controversy: In July 2020, a Chennai-based social activist Padmapriya released a YouTube video against EIA draft 2020 which was established by the ruling BJP party. The video was set the internet on fire. BJP member Kalyanaraman disliked the video and asked people to give that activist’s contact number if anyone knows. This tweet created controversy on him. Some people condemned him through social media.

• Communal violence controversy: On January 26, 2020, in Mettupalayam, some Islam people created a protest against the ruling BJP party’s activity of passing three Farm Bills. In that protest, some Islam militants allegedly gave their utterance against PM Narendra Modi. This matter reaches the ear of Kalyanaraman so he organized some BJP supporters and then started a protest in Mettupalayam against that Islam people who spoke allegedly against Modi. Kalyan, in the protest organized by him, allegedly spoke against Nabigal Nayagam. An Islam team went on that protest spot and raised their voice to arrest Kalyan. Finally, police arrested Kalyan for trying to create violence in between people.
