Happy Shab-E-Barat 2018: Shab E-Barat is also known as Mid Sha’ban or Bara’at Night, is a Muslim holiday which is celebrated all over the world on the evening between the 14th and the 15th Sha’ban or full moon day and 1 May based on Georgian Calendar. The celebration of the holiday is somewhere between May and June on the Gregorian calendar, depending on where it is being observed. It is considered as the evening when all of the men’s fortunes for the upcoming year are chosen and also the time when Allah may forgive those who have offended. In some Muslim countries, It is also a night to honour those ancestors who have come before you.

History of Shab-E-Barat

The History of Shab-E-Barat can be traced back to the Quran, while this holiday is not mentioned outright in the Quran, there are two verses that are linked to this holiday. “We sent it down on a blessed night. Verily, We are always warning, and Therein is decreed every matter of ordainment”-Quran 44:3-4. Shab-E-Barat is a night in the month of Shaban, in which many Muslims revere as the night of forgiveness and pray the whole night was asking Allah to bestow them with his blessings.

How to Celebrate Shab-E-Barat 2018

Shab-E-Barat is the festival which is celebrated by the Muslim community. This event is celebrated on 15th of the Islamic month of Sha’aban which is the eight month of the calendar. The night of Shab-E-Barat celebrates the entry of the Prophet Mohammed into a city of Mecca. The festival is observed with great pomp and show around the word by the Muslim community. They also believe that on this day God writes the destinies of all men for the coming year by taking into account of good deeds and misdeeds committed by them in the past.
