Darshan Hiranandani is an Indian businessman. He is best known as the son of industrialist Niranjan Hiranandani. He is the founder of the H-Energy Groups. In 2014, he became the CEO of his family empire Hiranandani Communities. He became the Managing Director of Nidar Groups in 2016. He is also the founder of Tez Platforms, Yotta Infrastructure Solutions, and Greenbase (Industrial and Logistics Park).

Darshan was allegedly paid bribes to Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra to ask questions in Parliament. But Hiranandani Groups and Moitra have denied the claims.

Controversy

• BJP’s Lok Sabha MP Nishikant Dubey alleged that MP Moitra and Darshan Hiranandani were in a cash-for-query case. Dubey said that he received the evidence from advocate, Jai Anant Dehadrai about the bribery. Moitra replied in a press conference about the allegations that he is ready to answer questions from CBI and the Ethics Committee.
• Darshan’s sister, Priya Vandrevala accused him and his father of violating a development deal in 2009. The case ruled in her favor in 2016 and the London Court of International Arbitration summoned the case asking them to pay ₹360 crores to Priya.
