Coronavirus: Spain announces Lockdown Relaxation Plan

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announces the lockdown relaxation plan on Tuesday night (28 April 2020). In Spain, the coronavirus outbreak has killed more than 24,000 people. In a national press meet, PM has set out a six-week plan to get business and social life back on track based around some phases.

PHASE 1: Small businesses and hotels (Take away) can open from 11 May.
PHASE 2: Restaurants and Bars can open their gates from mid-May, but they must not be more than 30% full during the first phase.
PHASE 3: Religious services like worships can be resumed by following prescribed rules.
PHASE 4: Theatres and cinemas will reopen from late May, but must be no more than a third full. Beaches are expected to reopen in June end.
PHASE 5: Shops can open at half capacity from June end, with two metres (i.e.,6 feet) between shoppers.
