Baishakhi Banerjee is a professor turned politician. She served as both principal and HOD (political science department) in Milli Al-Amin College, Kolkata. Baishakhi is a close friend of Sovan Chatterjee, ex-mayor of Kolkata. Baishakhi and Sovan together joined the BJP party since 14 August 2019. She is also known as Baisakhi Bandyopadhyay.
