Sikkim Government announces A.R. Rahman as its Brand Ambassador
Renowned Music composer and Oscar Award Winner, A.R. Rahman has been announced as the brand ambassador of Sikkim government. According to the statement issued by Cheif Secretary A K Srivastava, “A.R. Rahman will promote and project the state’s achievement globally and nationally.” It will give a huge thrust to improve the tourism of the state.

On last two decades, Sikkim has emerged as a world-famous eco-tourism destination with its natural and pristine beauty. Earlier this year, the government has made A.R. Rahman its brand ambassador of business and tourism, at “The Red Panda Winter Carnival 2018” to increase the flow of tourists by promoting the bounty of the state. After receiving the honour, A.R. Rahman has said that he felt blessed to be the face of a state which is not just visually but also culturally attractive.
