Director SS Rajamouli Explores Tamil Nadu: RRR Director Visits Madurai, Thanjavur, Thoothukudi and Many Places

Ace director SS Rajamouli recently took a road trip to Tamil Nadu with his family. He explored numerous temples and places of interest. Expressing his excitement on Twitter, Rajamouli shared his long-awaited desire to experience a road trip in central Tamil Nadu. Accompanied by his daughter, who wanted to visit the temples, they embarked on their journey. Throughout the last week of June, Rajamouli had the opportunity to visit various renowned sites, including Srirangam, Darasuram, Brihadeeswara Temple (Thanjavur Big Temple), Rameshwaram, Kanadukathan, Thoothukudi, and Madurai.

Reflecting on his time in Tamil Nadu, RRR Director Rajamouli marveled at the exquisite architecture, impressive engineering, and profound spiritual legacy of the Pandyas, Chozhas, Nayakkars, and other rulers. The director was mesmerized by these historical sites’ deep spiritual thought.

Not only did Rajamouli indulge in the cultural and architectural splendors of Tamil Nadu, but he also savored the local cuisine. Whether dining at the luxurious Mantrakoodam in Kumbakonam or relishing the culinary delights of Kaka Hotel Murugan Mess in Rameshwaram, he praised the marvelous food he encountered everywhere. However, Rajamouli jokingly confessed to gaining 2-3 kilos during his week-long exploration due to the delectable treats he enjoyed.

After three months of foreign travel and cuisine, Rajamouli expressed how refreshing and uplifting it was to embark on a tour of his homeland. This journey through Tamil Nadu allowed him to reconnect with his roots and appreciate the beauty and cultural richness of the region.
