Hitesha Chandranee is a Karnataka living makeup artist and model. She gives makeup-related advice and brand endorsements through her Instagram page. She was in the news after complaining in a live stream that a Zomato delivery partner hit her during an argument on late delivery.

On 10th March 2021, she uploaded a complaint video on her social media handles that she ordered food on Zomato, but the delivery boy took huge time than the estimated time (1 hour) to deliver food to her. So, she called customer care and gave a complaint against the delivery partner. Hitesha said, while speaking to customer care, the delivery partner came to her house and requested her to take the order. But Hitesha said in that video, that she asked him to wait until she stops the phone conversation with customer care. She also said, after a conversation with customer care, she informed him to take back the food to the hotel. But the delivery partner became angry for canceling the order and attacked Hitesha (as per her allegation).

On asking the Zomato Delivery Partner, He said that she had taken food and refused to pay money. He also added that he pleaded with her for money but she refused to pay and threw a slipper on him. He mentioned that the wound on the nose was cut by her own ring and he didn’t attack her.

Police are investigating the issues. Zomato’s founder said that Zomato will help both to bring the true statement. The founder added that Zomato will cover all the legal expenses of the delivery partner and also pay the hospital bills of Hitesha.

On Monday (15 March 2021), Bengaluru police have filed a FIR against Hitesha Chandranee based on a complaint by the Zomato employee Kamaraj.
