Mimi Chakraborty is an Indian actress and politician, who mainly works in the Bengali film and television industry. She made her acting debut with the television series Champion, which aired on Akash Bangla in 2008. Then she made her movie debut with the Bengali movie Bapi Bari Jaa directed by Sudeshna Roy & Abhijit Guha. In 2019, she joined the political party All India Trinamool Congress and competed in the 2019 Indian general election for Jadavpur Loksabha Constituency. She also won the election and became MP of Jadavpur Loksabha Constituency. Mimi Chakraborty talked about gender equality after Ranveer Singh posted his n*de photo on his social media pages.
