Illam Thedi Kalvi Scheme is a home-based learning program to fulfill the learning gaps caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. So, the school students will get quality education at their doorstep. The volunteers will take classes in the evening after their schooling hours. They have implemented this scheme in 12 major districts as a pilot project.

Requirements for Volunteers

If you would like to join as a volunteer for this scheme, make sure to fulfill the eligibility.

• He/She should be ready to spend at least six hours a week with the kids.
• Candidate should be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu.
• Volunteer should speak Tamil to make them understand better.
• He/She must teach Tamil, English, and Mathematics. [Training and Equipments will be provided].
• Volunteer should be at least 17 years or above.
• Candidate must have completed class 12 to take classes from grade 1 to 5.
• He/she should be a graduate to teach for students from class 6 to 8.
