Amrutha Pranay (aka Amrutha Varshini) is the daughter of Tarunagiri Maruthi Rao, a well-known Indian businessman. Against the wishes of their families, she married a Dalit guy named Pranay Kumar. She rose to prominence after her father murdered Perumalla Pranay Kumar in 2018. At that time, Amrutha was pregnant with Perumalla’s kid and she gave birth to her son exactly on their wedding day.

Following her husband’s death, she created the Facebook group “Justice For Pranay,” and people from all over the world rallied in her support. Tarunagiri Maruthi Rao, Amrutha’s father, was discovered dead in a communal guest home in Hyderabad. During the autopsy, the examiners discovered that the death was a suicide. Presently, Amrutha runs an online business called Pranams where you can shop for stylish clothing.
