10-man India U-20 Stun Argentina 2-1 in Final COTIF Cup Outing
COTIF Cup 2018: India U-20 side led by Amarjit Singh has notched up one of the most memorable football triumphs when they stunned Argentina 2-1 despite being reduced to 10 players in a pulsating contest at the final match of the COTIF Cup held in Spain. Deepak Tangari (4′) and Anwar Ali (68′) were the heroes for Indian U-20 side as they scripted a historic result against the six-time U-20 World champions.
While addressing the media, the coach of the Indian U-20 team, Floyd Pinto has said that “The win against argentian will definitely earn Indian Football more respect in the world of football. It also opens up a door of opportunity to test ourselves against the best in the World on a regular basis.”
